Brandon and I are engaged! And in the midst of planning our wedding. I’ll have a whole blog post about our proposal story, but until then: I had to share the engagement photos that we took in Sedona, Arizona.
We spent months trying to figure out where we wanted to take our engagement photos. We really love the red rock feel, but didn’t know a place in Utah where we wouldn’t freeze our butts off in the middle of fall/going into winter. Over Thanksgiving weekend, we drove down to Arizona. We had plans to hike Cathedral Rock in Sedona, and figured this would be the best time to take our engagement photos. Sedona is about 2 hours from Phoenix, so plan ahead if you decide to do engagement photos there!
Factor in the time it would take to find parking at the base of Cathedral Rock. We went in November, and it was still busy enough that we had to wait for a parking stall.
The hike to the top of Cathedral Rock was not bad, but it wasn’t easy either. There were times where I was on all fours climbing up slippery rock. The view at the top though, made it all worth it! The hike is about 1.2 miles out and back. The hike down is much easier than the hike up! I definitely recommend changing at the top if you’re comfortable with it! Especially if you plan on wearing a dress or something fancy.
