So, you’re finally ready to pop the question to your partner, but don’t know how to go about it. There are so many avenues to take! Matthew proposed to Sabrina while on a private horseback ride.

My number 1 tip is to first think about your partner.

Think about all the things that he or she loves to do. I asked Matthew if there were any spots on the island that are significant to them and what her favorite activities were. Matthew explained that Sabrina loves horses but has never gone horseback riding. That was the key. We spent some time researching ranches that would be open during Christmas Eve/Christmas.

Matthew found Triple L Ranch – and this could not have been a more perfect match for all of us. Triple L Ranch is family owned and has been in business for years. They raise cattle and do private horseback rides. While there, they teach you the history of the land and their family. They were a huge help and support throughout this entire proposal!

Decide if you want something intimate or not.

Matthew proposed to Sabrina at a stop during their ride. It was just them (aside from their amazing guide and us). It was intimate and beautiful. They shared this moment together – and it was perfect.

After the proposal, we did a quick session with the horses. It was the most unique session I’ve done! The horses, Shadow and Sugar, were amazing. The love that we felt with these two were beyond anything that I’ve experienced before.

But what about family?

Matthew and Sabrina had an intimate proposal, but they had family waiting back at the ranch. We ended the day with family photos and they were able to celebrate all together. If you would like an intimate proposal, but involve the family in some way, this would be how to do it!
